Data and tools related to shopping centres

The EU-funded project CommONEnergy will turn highly energy consuming shopping centres into temples of energy conservation. To this end, it developed several useful tools while also providing online training modules and access to the virtual IDP integrated design process library – the interactive web-tool showing scenarios for the energy demand and uptake of renovation activities.

  • Economic Assessment Tool – allows estimating the energy saving potential and economic benefits of retrofitting shopping centers.
  • Data Mapper – a quick, easy and tailor-made access of national and comparative international indicators on the commercial building stock.
  • Integrated Design Process Library – provides designers, owners and managers relevant information to start a shopping centre retrofitting process.
  • Online Training Modules – training workshops with practitioners. Will be available soon, contact the project for more information.
